A lot of times when you come home, you're hungry...like absolutely starving! The key is to have healthy, homemade food on hand for quick prep because let's face it, whatever you have at home is what you're going to end up eating.

Today I came home hungry and had some cabbage and pear handy... so I started thinking. I always have some healthy canned proteins on hand for emergencies like this, so I decided to whip together this super tasty, simple salad.

INGREDIENTS

  • Tuna
  • Cabbage
  • Onion
  • Pear
  • Little Bit of Fresh Ginger
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • A Little Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
  • Dash of Chili Pepper
  • Dash of Black Pepper
  • A Squirt of Hot Sauce
  • What I'm trying to say here is that when you're in a hurry, you still need to be able to make good food choices, and the first step to that is always having good, healthy foods on hand. No excuses, after all summer is just around the corner. Don't forget to include fresh fruit and vegetables daily!
